Proverbs 31:30
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a
woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Proverbs is such a great book, I know I’ve said
this before but I still suggest reading it. It is one of those books that benefits
both man and woman. This book speaks to the soul; I mean it is filled with the
wisdom of God. I know for sure if you would try to live your life in accordance
to it, you’re life would be soooo dramatically different, so fruitful, so
beautiful.
What I kind of want to focus on right now is how
we as women should act. We are all at the age where we are thinking about
marriage/ want to get married. So the next question is how do we attract our
husbands? What kind of women is desirable to a man, what qualities should we possess
in order to attract a God-Fearing Man ?
I personally think we do not have to look any
further than God himself. He’s given us instructions on what kind of women is
noble and what kind of woman we should be in proverbs. He also gives us
examples on what kind of woman we should not be, you know the kind with legs
spread wide open, easy; a modern day Jezebel.
Ladies, it will take a while to become the woman
God has designed us to be. My suggestion to you is to let God build you into
that Beautiful woman. There is no need to rush into marriage (ring by spring).
There is no need to settle down, especially when life is just getting started; just
let God mold you into the woman proverbs speaks about.
God Bless Sisters,
Cassie
Here are some verses to start you off, (I REALLY SUGGEST READING THE WHOLE BOOK
FOR YOURSELF)
Verses
to Remember:
Proverbs
31:26
She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction
is on her tongue
Proverbs
31:10-12
A wife of noble character who can find? She is
worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks
nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
Proverbs
31:25
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can
laugh at the days to come.
Verses
that give you an example of what NOT to
be:
Proverbs
7:21-23
With persuasive words she led him astray; she
seduced him with her smooth talk. All at once he followed her like an ox going
to the slaughter, like a deer stepping into a noose till an arrow pierces his
liver, like a bird darting into a snare, little knowing it will cost him his
life.
Proverbs
7:25-27
Do not let your hearts turn to her ways or stray
into her paths. Many are the victims she has brought down; her slain are a
mighty throng. Her house is a highway to the grave, leading down to the
chambers of death.
(^^AVOID BEING THIS WOMAN ^^)

Cassie, this is wonderful. I really do think as college women that this is something that is always on our minds. Thanks for the great reminder! Good job! :)
ReplyDeleteI heard this spoken word two years ago. I probably quote some line in it once every two weeks. I was so excited to see that you put it on your blog. This is definitely something that Christian women NEED to see, hear and feel.
