God and a Love life? (God in a love life)

With the passing of Valentine's day most of us probably have LOVE still on our mind. Maybe we are wondering how God fits into our love life? Let me start out by asking who out there has a boyfriend... (EVERYONE SHOULD ANSWER?) Yes, I said it... We all do. God is our boyfriend. Sounds weird right, but there comes a time in our life, or a stage in our daily walk with God where we just realize that asking him to be our "everything" includes boyfriend. So having said that, would it not be considered cheating.. if we had an "earthly relationship?

Of course not!!! God is very much a part of that relationship too, in fact he knows it is not good for us to be without companionship. Understand that I am not saying your current relationship is accepted by Jesus, or that you NEED TO be with someone, I'm not! I'm simply saying that God can be a part of our love life, in fact the title should be switched to God in a love life. See God is love, and what we call a love life should be based entirely off of Him. God gives us guidelines on what love is, and mirrors how it looks. I believe that if God did not want us to have a love life he would have A. Never made us to desire it and B. He would never show it.

God knows that we (being human) would try to mimic his ways, so if he didn't not want us to love he would not have shown us how to. He also would not have let us desire it in the first place. So for those out there wondering how God fits into our love life the answer is completely. God should be in it completely, he is love, he shows us how to love in fact he dedicated a whole book to love Songs of Solomon (Songs of Songs), he gave us the desire to love and last but not least we can only love because he loved us first.

Ladies, for your individual relationship concerns I cannot speak for, just ask God to guide you and pray that you may walk in his ways, and surely he will reveal to you the answers to your questions. Just know however that he wants you to love, and he wants you to experience it (all on his time.) Just make sure we are loving the WAY GOD INTENDED and that we do not lose sight of Him. Put Him first so that the rest will fall into place.

                           Blessings,
                                 Cassie

Verses to Remember:

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (what love is/how to love/what love should look like)

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  8 Love never fails.

Genesis 2:18 (God is okay with love/marriage/companionship)

18 The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.
